First demo of this mysterious San Francisco based band consisting of three tracks and a small interlude ("Bedrooms"), mostly mid-tempo arrangements with a good and solid structure that leave a rather pessimistic feeling overall. The whole atmosphere (especially the fast parts) remind us of Wolves in the Throne Room,Woe and Amesoeurs... Really nice debut,awaiting for more in the future! Check them out :)

The fourth full-length album of DIS and yet the most complex one. The arrangements have gone to a whole new level,the production is crystal clear setting the standards for the genre (although Aaron -the mastermind behind DIS- is in the process of remastering ALL DIS albums which really caught us by surprise) and the whole riffing and drumming is groundbreaking... Highlight of the album is the 21 minute long epic "Black Symphony #1",a class of it's own - way glad to know there's gonna be a part 2 and 3 in the near future!

A little Death Metal for a change - the samples at the beginning of the songs add a lot to this release which also features guitars varying from heavily distorted to fuzzy and a real good drumming session including even progressive/fusion themes except the typical blast beats.Plus the well performed (mostly grinding vocals) this album is really a pleasing one - just if the production was a little better...

We're for sure not the right people to criticize DIS albums as they were always one of our major obsessions... Aaron (the sole man behind DIS) is a true mastermind! Still consider his first work "Opus 1" as his finest - complex,aggressive & heavy as fuck riffing,atmospheric & sometimes bizarre keyboards,ultra fast & accurate well sounding drum machine along with a 5-star rated production (which has something to do with Aaron studying computer science) make a real killer album - & the lyrics are a plus too =) Give DIS a listen,you will be glad you did!
